According to a December 8, 2020 Beveridge and Diamond analysis “… On January 1, 2021, new Basel Convention controls on international shipments of non-hazardous plastic waste will go into effect … companies can expect new prior informed consent, contract and documentation requirements on most transboundary shipments of plastic waste. Our reason-for-being/goal/purpose/objective/intent is to convince/inspire/persuade/encourage the food processing industry to establish and fund a public private partnership for the discovery of new food packaging materials that would be digestible by animals (farm animals as well as ubiquitous microbes).
