Chemical research is critically important to the U.S. economy, and maintaining U.S. leadership in this sector will require continued and sustained support ... This support should include federal agency funding for chemical research projects, private investment in research and development at universities, and efforts to attract international research talent to the U.S. … The report emphasizes the key role the chemical economy will play in addressing sustainability issues … The many sectors reliant on the U.S. chemical economy account for about 25% of the U.S. GDP and support 4.1 million U.S. jobs. Animal Digestible Food Packaging Initiative
Our reason-for-being/goal/purpose/objective/intent is to convince/inspire/persuade/encourage the food processing industry to establish and fund a public private partnership for the discovery of new food packaging materials that would be digestible by animals (farm animals as well as ubiquitous microbes).
