Second Update about Plastic Food Packaging Waste News – May 5, 2022

To Readers of Plastic Food Packaging Waste News

I recently advised that beginning July 1, 2022, the updates you have been receiving through www.pfpw.news will be coming to you from the non-profit I established in 2017, the Animal Digestible Food Packaging Initiative www.adfpi.org

~   The purpose of the Initiative is to convince/persuade/inspire the food industry to establish a public private partnership (PPP) for the discovery of new food packaging materials that would be digestible by animals.

~   See the www.adfpi.org Initiative website and search for Animal Digestible Food Packaging Initiative at https://egov.maryland.gov/BusinessExpress/EntitySearch/Business for details.

~   As a non-profit, funds received by the Initiative are tax deductible and will be used to off-set Initiative expenses, as I am personally financing the Initiative.

Effective July 1, 2022, there will be three categories of Initiative Readers:

~   Complimentary – No annual fee for any individual or organization – Only first and last initials of individuals will be posted on the Initiative home page; companies and organizations will be asked to decide how they wish to be shown.

~   Supporter ($75 to $249 Annual Fee) – First and Last name without employer affiliation will be posted on the Initiative home page.

~   Sponsor ($250 and above Annual Fee) – First and Last name with employer affiliation, or organization name, will be posted on the Initiative home page.

In other words, anyone (students, interns, and anyone else, including companies and organizations who prefer to not pay an annual fee, as well as individuals and organizations who may not support the Initiative goal) may receive Initiative updates on a complimentary basis (only their first and last name initials, like JC for Jack Cooper, will be posted on the Initiative home page) and will be designated as “Complimentary Readers.”

Individuals who are willing to pay an annual fee ranging from $75 up to $249 and willing to have their first and last name without employer affiliation posted on the Initiative home page will be designated as “Supporter Readers

Individuals and organisations willing to pay an annual fee of $250 or more and willing to have their first and last name along with their employer affiliation posted on the Initiative home page will be designated as “Sponsor Readers

These changes to the Initiative home page and distribution lists will not take effect until July 1.

~   All current readers will be assigned to the Complimentary Reader List.

~   Let me know if you wish to be an Initiative Supporter or Sponsor; keep in mind that the Initiative is a non-profit, so annual fees are tax deductible.

The Initiative has several pro-bono Advisors and Legal Counsel as shown at https://adfpi.org/about/board/ and https://adfpi.org/adfpi-legal-counsel/

~   Let me know if you would have an interest in volunteering your time to serve as an Initiative Advisor!

Please keep in mind, that the Initiative is continuing to seek an individual with WordPress web master and social media experience to volunteer their time to make improvements in the Initiative home page, LinkedIn, Twitter and set up and manage these and other media platforms.

If because of these changes, or any other reason, you wish to stop receiving our updates, I will understand; just drop me a note and I will promptly remove your email address from the distribution list.
