According a December 9, 2020 European Chemicals Agency (EChA) news release “… The Committee for Socio-economic Analysis (SEAC) has adopted an opinion “… which would ban microplastics in products such as cosmetics, detergents, fertilisers and … [other products] … The proposal aims to ban products from the European market that contain intentionally added microplastics if these are released to our environment when the products are used … ECHA will send the opinion … to the European Commission.
