The Board on Environmental Studies and Toxicology of the National Academies is seeking by October 18, 2020 the nomination of individuals to serve on its “Standing Committee on the Use of Emerging Science for Environmental Health Decisions” which convenes workshops that “… explore new sciences, technologies, and research methodologies that could deepen our understandings about the effects of the environment on human health …” – Among the many areas of Committee workshop interest include: “Risk assessment of environmental pollutant exposures” and “Environmental and public health policy and law” – Convened workshops “… provide a public venue for communication among government, industry, environmental groups, and the academic community about scientific discoveries and advances in methods and approaches that can be used in the identification, quantification, and control of environmental impacts on human health …” – The web link to the NAS Committee is to be posted soon on the home page of Plastic Food Packaging Waste News www.pfpw.news at https://lnkd.in/dJEqaNc#PlasticWaste#Microplastics#SingleUsePlastic
